What we collect, and what we do with it
Plain terms: what this site records, what we do with what you tell us, how our text messages work, and how to make us stop.
What this policy covers
Gator Custom Mobility, INC (“Gator Custom Mobility,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) sells, fits and services mobility equipment and accessible vehicles in Gainesville, FL. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect information when you visit this site, contact us, register for an account, take part in our text-message program, or use our services.
It replaces the separate policies that used to sit on our two older websites, and it covers both halves of the business — personal mobility equipment and accessible vans — under one document.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you fill out a contact, feedback, referral, trade-in, financing or newsletter form, ask for a quote, or register for a provider or client account, we may collect your name, address, phone number, email address, and details about the vehicle, equipment or service you are interested in.
Health-related information
If you share information about adaptive-equipment needs, prescriptions, insurance, or funding programs such as VA or Vocational Rehabilitation benefits so that we can serve you, we treat that information as confidential, use it only to fulfill your request, and share it only with the providers, payers or agencies you have authorized.
Information collected automatically
Our web server keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page — for security and troubleshooting. We also use cookieless analytics, described in the next section.
Cookies and analytics
We keep cookie use to a minimum.
- Essential cookies. Technical cookies needed for the site to work, including page-caching and security cookies set by our hosting and content-delivery providers. If you log in to a client or provider account, a session cookie keeps you signed in.
- Analytics without cookies. Our analytics is self-hosted Umami. It is cookieless, stores no identifier on your device, and collects only aggregate, anonymized usage data — pages viewed, referring site, browser type, country. It cannot identify you personally and does not follow you to other websites.
- No advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing tags, social-media pixels, or third-party analytics cookies that track you across other websites. If we ever run advertising that needs them, this page will say so before it happens.
- No embedded third-party content. The map on our contact page is a picture we host ourselves, not a live map loaded from somebody else. Nothing on this site is fetched from another company while you read it. The “get directions” link does go to Google Maps — but only when you choose to click it, and you leave our site to do so.
We do not sell visitor data. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Because we do not rely on non-essential cookies, the public parts of this site work fine without them, though embedded maps and form spam protection may not.
How we use your information
- To respond to inquiries, prepare quotes, schedule evaluations and service, and process orders
- To verify eligibility and coordinate with funding programs — VA, Vocational Rehabilitation, manufacturer mobility rebates, insurers — when you ask us to
- To operate provider and client accounts and process referrals
- To send service reminders and recall notifications, and, with your consent, newsletters or updates
- To maintain the security of this site, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements
How we share it
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with:
- Manufacturers, lenders, insurers and government agencies, as needed to complete a transaction, referral or claim you have authorized
- Service providers — hosting, email, forms, analytics, messaging, payment processing — under written confidentiality agreements, who may handle your data only to provide those services to us
- Law enforcement or regulators, when required by law or court order
Text messages
Our SMS program is opt-in. You can leave it at any time by replying STOP, and taking part is never a condition of buying anything from us.
Opting in
By giving us your mobile phone number and opting in to receive SMS messages, you give prior express consent — and, where applicable, prior express written consent — to receive SMS messages from Gator Custom Mobility at the number you provide, and you agree to the text-message terms on this page. You can enroll through the forms on this site.
Participation is not required as a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
What we collect for the SMS program
- Your mobile phone number
- Your name and basic contact details, such as an email address, if you provide them
- Consent information, including the date and time, the method of opt-in, and the source, such as a web form
- Any content you send us by SMS — replies, questions, or keyword responses such as STOP or HELP
What we send
We use your mobile number primarily to send messages about our durable medical equipment and mobility products and services, including:
- Order updates, shipping notices and delivery confirmations
- Appointment reminders, service notifications, and repair or maintenance updates
- Account and billing alerts
- Local emergency notices
We will not use your number for unrelated purposes without obtaining additional consent where the law requires it.
Frequency and cost
Message frequency may vary based on your interactions and the services you use. Standard message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.
You are responsible for telling us if you change, deactivate or give up the mobile phone number you gave us.
Opting out, and getting help
You can opt out of our SMS program at any time. Reply STOP to any SMS you receive from us to cancel. After you send STOP, we may send a one-time confirmation message to verify your request, after which you will no longer receive SMS messages from us, except as permitted or required by law.
For help with the SMS program, reply HELP to any SMS, or contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
We will promptly honor opt-out requests and keep records of opt-outs as applicable law requires.
Who sees your SMS data
We may share your mobile phone number and related SMS data with trusted third-party vendors who help us deliver text messages and administer the program — messaging platforms, carrier partners and compliance providers. They are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide those services to us, and must handle it securely and confidentially.
We do not sell or rent your mobile phone number or SMS interaction data to third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
Security, and how long we keep things

We keep your information only as long as we need it to:
- Serve you and support the services you asked for
- Meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations
- Resolve disputes and enforce our agreements
When SMS records are no longer needed, we delete or de-identify them in line with our retention policies and applicable law.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date and post the updated version on this page. If we make material changes to how we handle your SMS data, we may also notify you by SMS, email or other appropriate means. Continuing to take part in our SMS program after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
