That is one of our vans, on our floor, with the subfloor going in. Hand controls, left pedal accelerators, restraints, transfer seats and valet seating are what we specialize in, and they are fitted here.
All vans are inspected and certified by our technicians before they ever leave our shop. Nothing on this page is a photograph of somebody else’s workshop.
Our storefront has been open to the public since 1989, and our staff carry a combined 37+ years in durable medical equipment. They also keep taking industry training, continually, which is the part that stops decades of experience from quietly becoming decades of habits.

Owns Gator Custom Mobility and is on the shop floor every day, personally handling most of the hand-control and ramp installations, drawing on three decades converting and maintaining adaptive vehicles. A custom modification, an out-of-warranty repair or a complex driver-evaluation follow-up will most likely be Steve.

Directs the rehab department and is our lead Assistive Technology Professional. He coordinates with CDRS evaluators, prescribing physicians and VA Prosthetics offices so each customer ends up in the right equipment for the long term, not just the right equipment for today.

We acquire pre-owned conversions weekly and can custom-order a new vehicle from the manufacturers we represent. We take trade-ins on standard and adaptive vehicles both.
Tell us what you need to carry, who is driving and how you transfer, and we will tell you what is coming in.
We provide chair fittings, repairs, custom seating, vehicle lifts and ramp van conversions through the VA, and work directly with Gainesville Prosthetics on 1090s, quotes and purchase orders.
Equipment and vehicle modifications funded through Florida Vocational Rehabilitation. We work directly with the clients.
We verify your coverage before anything is ordered. Insurance is restrictive — some plans have excluded scooters from their benefits entirely — and you will hear that from us up front rather than after you have waited.
Humana chose us as a preferred provider for their Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial health plans. Networks and benefits get renegotiated, though, so call with your member ID and let us verify your own plan before you order anything.
For ATPs, PTs, OTs, CDRS evaluators and prescribing physicians. Send the evaluation and we handle the documentation, the funding source and the fitting.
